Saint Ann's Search for a New Rector

The Search Committee was appointed at a parishwide meeting on September 13, 2010.

We met again as a parish on November 15 and participated in an event called "Telling our Story" which drew a fantastic turnout.

The Search Committee had its first meeting November 18 and will continue to meet each Wednesday evening at 5:30. The minutes of each meeting will be posted here.

On Sunday, February 28, the Search Committee presented a slideshow to the parish after the 10:30 worship service showing a snapshot of the preliminary results of the parish survey.

On Wednesday, April 14, the committee participated in a mock interview to practice their interviewing skills. The Vestry was on hand to observe. The evening was truly advantageous for both the committee and the Vestry. Our Parish Profile is nearing completion and at that point, the committee will begin receiving names of applicants interested in becoming Saint Ann's next rector.

Saint Ann's Parish Profile

As of May 11, Saint Ann's Parish Profile was approved by the Diocese and is posted on our website. The Committee expects to receive names within the next month. The parish is very excited and welcomes all who choose to apply to be our next rector.

The Diocese has closed the accepting of applications for the position of Rector at Saint Ann's. The committee will receive names from the Diocese on June 23. The intense process of reviewing the applicants will start immediately. Please keep our search committee members in your prayers.

As of July 28, all telephone interviews have been completed and the committee is in the process of refining the number of candidates.

On September 1 the Search Committee handed over the final candidates' names to the Vestry. For three weeks the Vestry carefully considered the suitability of these candidates for Saint Ann's. The concensus finally reached at their meeting on September 27 was that we have not yet found a candidate who is a good match for Saint Ann's. As a result, after consultation with the Diocese, we have decided to reopen the search.

The Search Committee and Vestry met on September 29. The search process for the position of Rector at Saint Ann's is officially reopened.

The Diocese has closed the application process for candidates for the position of Rector at Saint Ann's and the Search Committee will receive our new list of applicants on December 1. Their plan is to send information out immediately to each applicant with the hopes that we can move the process along with efficiency.

The names have been received and material was sent out on December 6. The Search Committee plans to meet in early January 2011 to begin the elimination process.

The Committee met January 5 to sort the candidate list out further and will very soon conduct phone interviews of all remaining candidates.
