Welcome to Saint Ann's Nearly New Shop!
We are OPEN and accepting Winter consignments.
It’s hard to believe that the Nearly New Shop has been at its present location at the corner of Mile Creek Road and Route 156 in Old Lyme, Connecticut for over 50 years. Fun fact: the Nearly New Shop is among the oldest continuously operating resale shops in the United States.
Our mission is to lead by example, in communion with God and community. Just as Jesus after giving thanks fed five thousand on five loaves and two fish, the Nearly New Shop strives to follow His example by feeding, clothing, and servicing those who participate in the process, whether they be employees, volunteers, donors, consignors or recipients of outreach contributions.
Mission Statement: The Nearly New Shop is a mission of Saint Ann’s Episcopal Church. It is a retail establishment offering gently used items, received through consignment and donation, for sale to the general public in a welcoming, attractive and secure environment. The goal of the church, staff and volunteers is to use a significant portion of its net income to support the Outreach missions of the church. (Mission Statement approved by the Vestry at its October 14, 2021 meeting.)

Consigning is a quick and easy way to get a little money for items you no longer need or want. The Nearly New Shop accepts “gift quality” items for consignment. Clothing should be in excellent condition, current style, clean, pressed, and in season. Non-clothing items should be in good repair, clean, and free of dust and dirt.
We have a color coded pricing system. At the end of the initial color period (about two weeks), a 25% markdown is taken. After the next two weeks, 50%; after the following two weeks, 75%. After the final two weeks, the item is considered a donation.
